I like the complete lack of smoke and noise. The only connection is the double doors with two windows on either side. The room is totally enclosed and almost too cut off from the rest of the casino. Its got the typical, obvious 'Poker Room' sign above the door. The poker room is towards the back, center. This was nice for someone who's used to the all but getting frisked routine in MO (anyone had to get a new card at Harrahs lately?). There are still security guards at the entrance to the floor, but I got the impression that as long as you didn't have a Ninja-Turtle in your hands that they weren't gonna ask too many questions.

This is due to their 18 or older rules vs 21 in MO. Walking into DownStream from the self-parking lot, you are not stopped or questioned by staff like you are in a MO casino. Its not actually due (the hotel) to open for another month or two, but I'm told by people who've previewed it that it will be impressive. They have the typical, large, nice looking hotel in the background dominating the skyline. Four hours from St Louis.ĭriving up to the casino is (as usual) a pleasant view. DownStream is located in Quapaw, OK but the easiest (only?) way to get to it is by taking the 1st MO exit on I-44. Went to DownStream C&R Monday and Tuesday night this week.
